Founded in 1923 and designed by a local banker, W.W. Baker in 1923 then redesigned by world famous golf course architect A.W. Tillinghast in 1936.  The overall length of the course looks as it should lend itself to low scores, but the trees, rough and smallish greens more than make up for the short length. Sitting nestled at the base of the Blue Mountains in Eastern Washington, the Walla Walla Country Club is "The Best Kept Secret in the State"! But you can only golf this course when you stay at The Marcus Whitman.
